About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Overnight Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks as needed. You will greet and assist staff and visitors with clear communication, document observations, and escalate concerns through the proper channels. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter doors to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entry points and verify authorization for access according to post orders, directing visitors and/or deliveries to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or public resources as directed.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate noteworthy information to the next shift and/or site leadership.
