About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol Rounds in Richmond, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support operations through clear communication and customer service. Requirements

Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at entrances, gates, and/or guard stations, verifying identification, visitor logs, shipping paperwork, and directing drivers to designated areas as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services when needed.
Prepare complete reports of daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
