As a Security Officer - Full-Time Unarmed Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas and conducting routine rounds with a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist staff and visitors, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points where assigned, assist with crowd control and/or line management, and report hazards or unusual conditions to site leadership.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in written reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
