Security Officer - Gate Access Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gate Access Control in North Jackson, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and monitor entry points and alarms. You will conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify and reduce incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at employee and visitor entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and delivery traffic at gates and/or docks by verifying paperwork, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting arrivals and departures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards or irregular activity through established notification and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property loss, and document observations per site requirements.
