About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, check credentials, support visitor and driver processing, and document security-related activity. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies at a logistics and distribution location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, processing visitor and vendor check-in and/or check-out, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor vehicle traffic flow at gates and docks, confirm delivery and pickup information when required by post orders, and communicate irregularities to site management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the perimeter, trailer yards, and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
