About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gate Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide clear customer service and communication to help support a professional, orderly environment. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific procedures, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations at a technology facility.
- Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, alarms, and/or equipment issues to appropriate contacts according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, direction, and/or notifications in line with site procedures.
- Complete shift documentation, incident reports, and patrol logs with clear, timely details and communicate relevant security-related information during shift transitions.
