About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer supporting a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will focus on access control, welcoming employees and visitors while helping manage badging and entry verification. You will monitor activity, complete routine patrols, and document security-related observations using site technology, supporting quick communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring, agile team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, issuing and collecting visitor passes, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors to approved destinations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; identify unusual activity and report or escalate per post orders to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, building entrances, and the perimeter; document observations and submit required reports.
