As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and guide employees and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming customer experience. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, and offers a team-focused role built on integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and vendors to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, then communicate observations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting responding personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to spot hazards, unsecured doors, and/or policy concerns, and report findings per post orders.
