About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Entry Control in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a leading tech and data center location, you will focus on access control and a strong badge and visitor experience, helping manage entry points, verifying credentials, and guiding guests with professional service. You will complete routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams using computers and/or tablets. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile mindset to support a reliable, people-first environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, vendors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing guests to authorized areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, gates, doors, and loading areas for unusual activity, report concerns to site contacts, and document actions taken.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations as directed, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
