As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support controlled access for employees, drivers, and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, complete routine patrols, and communicate clearly with site leadership and dispatch to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will bring our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while putting people first and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control at entrances and gates, including checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and driver logs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic for the location, coordinate with site contacts for deliveries and pickups, and report irregular activity, damaged seals, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical events, and/or disputes at entry points, and complete required notifications and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify hazards, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, and document findings per site requirements.
