About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Patrol in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate destination.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related audits and/or administrative tasks as assigned.
