As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain clear visitor and truck traffic logs. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with drivers and team members, and complete routine patrols of assigned areas to help identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing inbound and outbound traffic to designated areas.
- Monitor cameras, access control systems, and alarm notifications; report suspicious activity and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft by maintaining a professional presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders, documenting events, and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as docks, yards, and perimeter lines to identify hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions, with working conditions varying by location.
