Job Description As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Reception in Garner, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location where you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and responding to incidents with clear communication and customer service. You will complete routine patrols and document security-related activity using site tools and procedures. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and managing visitor and vendor check-in and check-out.
• Monitor and document access activity using logs and/or electronic systems, and report unusual activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, with working conditions varying by site.
