As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist residents and guests with courteous communication, observe and report unusual activity, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative culture.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Monitor access points and control entry for authorized persons and vehicles as directed, verifying credentials, issuing visitor information, and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required and assisting with resident concerns.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate noteworthy conditions to oncoming personnel and/or site management.
