As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by a caring culture and integrity.

Requirements

  • This position is in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • This position is in a hospital environment where you may be required to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and/or check-in as assigned, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations per post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives using approved channels.
