About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Control in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering helpful customer service and clear communication to staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or state-issued guard license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and other security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor for and report hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns observed during rounds, and/or assist with directing people to appropriate areas when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol observations, and shift activity notes, in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
