Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support operations through clear communication and friendly customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, and exterior perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and report findings.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification, logging visitors and deliveries, and directing drivers to designated check-in areas and routes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical events, and/or operational disruptions, and notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, and perform security-related monitoring of cameras, alarms, and/or other site systems according to post orders.
