About The Position

As a Security Officer - Area Patrol Driver in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document activity, support staff and visitors, and coordinate with site contacts as needed. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to the appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas for unusual conditions such as suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, unauthorized persons, and/or hazards, and document observations per post orders.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.
