Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Reception Desk in Port Saint Lucie, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, greeting patients and visitors, managing access, and verifying credentials. You will monitor the lobby through observation and security-related systems, communicate clearly with staff and responders, and help to deter unwanted activity through a visible, service-focused presence. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • This post is in a hospital environment where restraining individuals may be required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Manage the front desk post by greeting and directing visitors, confirming identification and/or appointment information per site procedures, and issuing visitor passes and/or badges as required.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor logs, and report irregular activity and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, access logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
