As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and courteous service. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, escalating concerns through established communication and reporting channels.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and assist with security-related calls for service such as escorts and/or wayfinding as directed by site procedures.
