As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor check-in procedures, and communicating site rules in a courteous manner.
• Prepare complete and accurate written reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity through established channels.
