About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Guest Area Patrol in Lincoln Park, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, visitors, and patients with courteous communication, clear reporting, and quick coordination with site leadership when concerns arise. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or donors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points by observing visitor flow, checking authorization where required, and directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining professional conduct.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate notable observations to supervisors and site contacts, and support security-related investigations when requested.
