As an unarmed patrol officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with a service-first mindset, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and/or resort location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire and alarm activations.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational issues.
  • Monitor access points and key-controlled areas during patrols, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with visitor directions, lost and found procedures, and/or incident documentation.
  • Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate notable observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
