About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Georgetown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will be a strong communicator, supporting employees and visitors with customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a tech-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to the appropriate contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, loading and delivery zones, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity using available tools such as visitor logs, badge checkpoints, cameras, and/or communications equipment, reporting unusual conditions per procedure.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate key updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
