Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and support badge and visitor screening to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will be a visible, professional presence, communicate clearly with staff and guests, document observations, and respond to issues with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience is required or a minimum of 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience is required or a minimum of 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, hangars, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and designated entry points, verifying identification and/or authorizations as required, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, providing clear directions, and supporting arriving responders per post orders.
- Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
