About The Position

As a Security Officer - Information Desk in Springfield, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor entry activity to help support security-related operations. You will be a visible, customer-service focused presence, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to incidents with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech-focused location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue visitor credentials, manage sign-in and sign-out logs, and coordinate guest access with authorized personnel.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems from the front desk, document activity, and report unusual conditions per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, maintain accurate records, and communicate key updates during post turnovers.
