About The Position

As a Security Officer - Interior Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the warehouse, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.
• Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and drivers, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow to support smooth logistics operations.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, including observations from patrols, access activity, and any policy violations or equipment issues.
