The Lead Security Officer has a dual role within the security program. In addition to their duties and responsibilities as a security officer, they also are assigned administrative duties to ensure program continuity when department leaders are not available. As the Lead Security Officer they are responsible for ensuring that assigned posts are staffed, all security incidents are properly responded to and documented in accordance with department procedures. The Lead Security Officer also serves as the primary site contact for law enforcement agencies when senior Security leadership is not on site. It is expected that the Lead Security Officer will demonstrate behavior consistent with CommonSpirit Health core value and Humankindness. The Lead Security Officer shall support CommonSpirit Health's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activitiesTo be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
