Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas while supporting access control and entry screening. You will check badges and visitor activity, use a computer and/or tablet to document security-related observations, and stay visible to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and entry screening requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel and belongings as required, including checking identification, verifying access authorization, and conducting bag or package inspections in accordance with post orders.
  • Control access at designated entry points by managing sign-in and sign-out logs, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and directing traffic to the appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as screening activity, irregularities, and policy violations, and communicate notable information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
