About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Reception Desk in Weehawken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming guests, managing access control and badges, and monitoring lobby activity to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will use a computer and/or tablet to log visitors and communicate with building teams while delivering polished customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CREDIT CHECK BACKGROUND

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from the front desk.
  • Control access to the property by greeting entrants, verifying identification, managing visitor registration, and issuing and/or collecting temporary credentials per site policy.
  • Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and other building systems as assigned, and report unusual activity through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete shift logs and other reports, communicate relevant updates during shift transitions, and assist Allied Universal leadership with administrative front desk tasks as needed.
