As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by screening people and/or packages, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and deliver a customer-first experience that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen associates, visitors, and deliveries at designated entry points by verifying identification and authorization, monitoring access points, and documenting entries and/or exceptions per site guidelines.
  • Operate and monitor screening equipment and/or manual screening processes as assigned, and report prohibited or unauthorized items, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and/or escalation to site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed logs, screening reports, and incident documentation, and communicate status updates during shift turnover to support consistent security-related operations.
