As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, document observations, and communicate clearly with associates and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, parking lots, dock doors, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and contractors by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing traffic flow at gates and/or entrances.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations with security-related checks such as monitoring CCTV, observing trailer movements, checking seals and yard conditions, and reporting irregularities to the appropriate contacts.
