About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Communications Desk in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will coordinate officer activity, track site activity using computer and/or tablet tools, and communicate updates to teams and leaders. You will remain visible, support routine patrol coverage, and help to reduce security-related incidents through clear reporting and customer-focused service. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Operate the dispatch post by monitoring phones, radios, and alarm and/or camera systems, assigning officers to calls for service, and coordinating responses to incidents as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Support access control and traffic flow by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and tracking inbound and outbound deliveries and yard activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, completing required reports, and communicating updates to management and on-duty staff.
