As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, so you may use a vehicle to cover larger areas while providing helpful customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access points as assigned, verifying visitor and vendor authorization and supporting badge checks and/or escort requirements per site policy.
  • Complete shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation with clear details, and communicate observations and handoff notes to the next shift.
