About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Weekdays in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by screening associates and visitors, monitoring entry points, and conducting routine patrols of assigned areas. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with teams on the floor. Bring customer service, agility, and integrity as you collaborate to keep people and property protected.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors and drivers for authorized access, verifying identification, credentials and/or required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor logs and badge issuance, and observe for unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by screening packages, personal items and/or vehicles as directed by post orders, maintaining professional communication with warehouse staff and drivers.
