About The Position

As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. You will stay visible at key entry points, complete routine patrols, document activity in systems, and provide customer service with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will succeed by acting with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or credentialing, issuing temporary badges per site policy, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor and document the movement of employees, contractors, deliveries, and vendors through gates and/or turnstiles, including logging entries and exits and reporting irregularities per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting arriving responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report observations per site protocol.
