Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions regarding access procedures and site directions.
- Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific guidelines and instructions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual observations to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist with visitor management processes, including maintaining visitor logs and issuing access badges as required.
