Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions regarding access procedures and site directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific guidelines and instructions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual observations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
  • Assist with visitor management processes, including maintaining visitor logs and issuing access badges as required.
