Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Lafayette, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and emergency response guidelines at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and directing traffic flow for employees, contractors, and deliveries.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate notable conditions to supervisors and/or client contacts, and support investigations by documenting observations.
