Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Office Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support staff, students, and visitors with customer-focused service, and work as a reliable teammate. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies and/or post orders at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying campus partners and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help maintain orderly movement through high-traffic campus spaces.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate updates to supervision and/or client representatives per site requirements.
