As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare research location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reports, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations with care. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Control access points by monitoring doors and visitor flow, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate areas while supporting a professional environment.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate updates to supervision and/or site contacts.
