About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bag Check Station in Greenwood, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will help support security-related operations by screening visitors and deliveries, verifying credentials, and managing access control and badge checks. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. You will bring our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while acting with integrity through teamwork.

Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Screen people, bags, and deliveries using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and/or access credentials, and assist with visitor processing and badging as directed by site policy.
  • Monitor entry points and screening areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and report access issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations and other emergency procedures when appropriate.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, access logs, and screening records, and communicate status updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
