As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist riders and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, service disruptions, and requests for assistance from authorized personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, station buildings, entry points, parking areas, and surrounding property to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and conduct ID and/or credential checks as directed, helping to control entry to restricted areas and supporting established visitor management processes.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and logs, and communicate key information to site contacts and/or public agency partners as required.
