Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Rounds in Laurel, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly while delivering a customer-first experience. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct routine and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, offices, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, help to verify identification and/or shipping paperwork as directed, and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical events, and/or unusual activity, and notify site leadership and public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts.
