As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication, strong customer service, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the healthcare facility, including patient corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and unauthorized access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unwanted activity by observing people and conditions, reporting concerns, and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and assist with securing high-traffic areas during peak visitor hours and/or special events.
