Job Description As a Security Officer - University Rover Driver in Lebanon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet visitors, assist employees and guests with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with your team as you document observations and respond to service calls. This post requires a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at an automotive location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, service areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and restricted areas; verify credentials and direct visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting site leadership, and/or requesting public emergency services when needed.
  • Complete reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and equipment checks, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
