Join Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest concerns, medical situations, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations, and notify property leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, lobbies, corridors, meeting and event spaces, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy issues.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control by verifying credentials, directing visitors, supporting after-hours entry procedures, and maintaining a professional presence in high-traffic areas.
  • Document security-related activity by completing accurate reports, logging incidents and patrols, preserving observations, and communicating updates during shift turnovers.
