Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Site Rounds in La Crescenta, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist students, staff, and visitors with courteous communication, document observations, and report concerns using site tools and procedures. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, classrooms, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points during arrival, dismissal, and special events by assisting with visitor check-in and/or verifying credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete reports, activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or school administrators in a timely manner.
