About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Park Driver Patrol in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to access questions, alarms, and service requests with calm professionalism. You will document observations, share timely updates with site teams, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and teamwork. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control processes, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and office location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems; investigate alerts, document observations, and complete detailed incident and shift reports using required technology.
• Control visitor and employee entry by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining logs, and assisting with deliveries and contractor check-in according to site policies.
