You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Using an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will contribute to a caring, people-first culture, delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service within a healthcare location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding as needed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate parties.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, coordinating with site staff and/or local responders when required.
