About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Tower Concierge in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as a Front Desk Security Officer, where you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage guest sign-ins, monitor cameras and security-related systems, and respond to alarms and service requests with calm professionalism. Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors and/or contractors by following post orders, access control procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Greet and screen incoming guests, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations within the property.
Monitor and operate access control systems, visitor management tools, phones and/or radios, and report irregularities to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
Document daily activities, service requests, incidents and/or maintenance concerns in logs and reports, and communicate updates during shift turnover.
Help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering and/or disruptive behavior through presence at the lobby desk and consistent enforcement of site rules.
Coordinate with building staff and third-party responders regarding alarms, after-hours access, deliveries and/or contractor check-in procedures.
Assist with lost and found handling, package receipt procedures as assigned, and other lobby administrative tasks in accordance with site guidelines.
